Greece, philosopher's stone
So many fields of science, knowledge have been booming in Greece during ancient times. What has become of this place where everything seemed to concentrate and happen? Is the capital Athens still the Philosopher's stone ; enabling to turn something basic into extraordinary?

France, Summer road trip
"Les oiseaux, le ciel et la mer" as the famous song from Charles Trenet said. Taking the smallest possible roads, you have the possibility to re-discover less touristic places, take time, breathe fresh air and relax. France can be a marvelous country to do this.

Ireland, light from above
A good pint of beer, pubs, religion, green grass... all this easily leads you to Ireland, the 'green country' ; but for me, the most incredible thing about Ireland is its weather, and particularly its light! The sun is not often showing, but when it does, even through thick clouds, magic is not far.

Russia, from CCCP to $$$R
Center of the communism, the USSR (CCCP) was a massive federation until the early 90's. A huge domain to control, embracing different cultures and people, as well as (initially) religions. But since it's fall, Russia has seen a wild progress of capitalism, ruled by elites, creating a huge gap between rich and poor.

Mongolia, in the middle of nowhere
Some destinations are right from the start full of history and dreams. Mongolia is part of these countries where everything from the landscapes to the former emperors is gigantic. Distances, roads, time, animals, temperatures... everything is extreme; leading everyone to help each other... useful when you are 'in the middle of nowhere'...

Georgia, a land of traditions
End of July 2008, travel in the unknown; this old soviet republic bordered by Russia, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaidjan. A peaceful country, with astonishingly welcoming people, marvelous landscapes... but above all: traditions. Unfortunately, less than a week after leaving, Russia would declare war to Georgia to get South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

Mali, contrast in color
During a night after a good time with some friends, I came back with a Taxi driver who listened to some music I really enjoyed. I asked him what it was, and he told me it was malian music... I thought this could be my first step in Africa, and there it was ! 15 days in Mali and a few photographs, representing only a minor part of my lifetime memory.
